Setting up network Licenses

Ok, so here's what's cooking.

We're planning to transfer all our 12 single dongle licenses to 2 dongles and plug them into our fileserver (which is ALWAYS running)

What do I need to know ?

I just did a quick test with my own single license dongle.
I plugged it into the server, pointed my workstation license from within max to 'serverX' (the computer name of the server)
but somehow it didn't pick it up.
The Vray license server IS running on serverX so that's not it.

Could it have anything to do with user/pass of the server or something ?

How should I go about getting this up and running ?

Licence and wibu drivers installed on server?
Connecting to a IP address? ( that's how I do it, and it works fine)

vray (license only) + wibu drivers are installed on the server.
Connect to server name and or ip doesn't seem to work at this moment.
