  • irradiance settings

I was working through the excellent tutorials at http://www.osmosis.com.au/info/tutorials.htm where it was said:

"Change the IR map preset to Medium or High. These presets are resolution-dependent and are optimized for 640x480 pixels."

Does anyone know what changes to the IR map settings you would make for higher res images? Also what settings affect the blending of the buckets. Is there a way to improve the blending of DR buckets so the IR blends together less visibly?

You would have to change the min/max settings.

-3/0 at 640x480 will give you the same GI solution as -4/-1 at 1280x960 or -5/-2 at 2560x1920. The irradiance map pass should take the same time in these three conditions.

Yes, there aren't any other Irradiance map related min/max settings.
