It seems I can't get the wax material to work, it always comes out black or very dark gray in th rendering, nomatter what settings I use. What could be the problem?

      thanks!

Probably not enough light hitting the object.
It would be helpful if you could post simple scene showing the problem. Maybe I can add some controls to the material to account for low light settings.

                Fantastic work egz!

My only request would be to keep the rollouts open when selecting different materials in the editor. Currently the Advanced Glass Parameters and Wax Intrpolation Parameters automatically close when I come back to them after having clicked on another material in the editor.

Other than that, thanks for the effort - it is greatly appreciated!

Great work your doing, much appreciated.

How about a quick and dirty glass for architectural renders ?
It wouldn’t cast or receive shadows, GI and caustics would ignore it (no GI calculation at all), but it could receive Vray reflections.

Without having Vray in front of me at the moment I “think” it can be done on a per object bases, but as a lot of my models are sub-materials, it would be great to do it on a per material basis.

                  Just a thought.

In a few days. Probably on wednesday. I've had too much real work lately to get things done, but the next update is almost ready.

The inability to use maps for the various slots is the only shortcoming I see at the moment...but it's a great way to get nice quick glass & sss!

u should make it to let light pass through it.
                          i mean affect shadow.

                            ???

you have to setup you light correctly and light will pass through it.

No it won't Long John, it isn't in the current version. I have support for it in the new version though, but I'm in the middle of a production and don't have the spare time to finish it at the moment.
