Install 3DS MAX 2011 with VRay 1.5 R4a?

Wow how i just love the news of Max's core beeing rewritten! I love it probably as much as I did ten years ago when this news first came up

Normally I wait at least 2 or 3 months before installing any new version of Max (so they can fix the urgent bugs), but seeing as Max2010 is so incredibly buggy I think I'll move a bit faster this time. I'm not expecting Max2011 to be without bugs, but surely it can't be as bad as 2010? I will, however, wait for VRay for 2011 before installing Max, as waiting 2 more weeks for an official release is hardly a disaster.

I think you may need to wait for SP1. on a similar note, I'm not really sure why autodesk keep developing rendering technologies (quicksilver). I'm under the impression that most people would use mental ray since they get it for free. Who uses scanline anymore?

i think that might be called innovation ??? won't it be a b*tch if quicksilver turns out to be faster than anything on the market today?? after all it is still being refined..

Pay no attention to those who do not respect quality products. There is a reason Vray is faster than Brazil and Cebas. We all support Vray and know its power. If it must take a few months to release it for 2011, that is fine because the reward for us waiting is worth it.

I just installed vray 1.5 sp4 on max 2011 design but the DR is not working. When the spawner is opened on a machine it keeps flashing quickly max about every 30 seconds......and the host machine does not connect to the spawner. Is there something special to do?? Thanks.

You need to replace the vraydummy2010.xml file with the one I posted in the other thread.
