Forget my last post. I've managed that. It was just my lack of knowledge about storing float values in hexadecimal format . I'm not a programming guru, and just have learned perl and modo scripting last night.
Anyway, I've just rendered my first poly from modo! I hope I'll create fully working export script in few weeks (I'm doing it in free time) - besides just output script, I have to create some dialogs inside modo for such things as render and light settings, etc.

Thanx for your patience with all that questions!

    Best regards,
    Jarek

You can prepare one yourself quite easily with the Linux version of the standalone. The only thing to keep in mind is to set up a floating license server so that all the machines in the cluster can take out a license from your license server (which is the reason why we can't prepare such an installation ourselves - the license server IP needs to be hardcoded in the image).

Hi. After meeting with scripter / programmer, we decided do develop basic port of VRay for modo - basing mainly on scripts and UI enhancements. It will be able to export .vrscene ready to render in standalone version of VRay.

Is it possible to get some closer specifications about .vrscene format?
Analysing vrsceneexport.ms script was helpful, but it didn't gave us all answers we need (for example about GeomStaticMesh {...} tag) and is quite painful, considering all tag options possible in that format.

UHHHH .. linux and me .. not the best combination.

..and you are sure there is no way to offer a form where your customers can input the IP and download a "custom build" cd image?

It is possible of course. I will make a note to look into it.

                  suuuuper!

.. don't forget that you also could offer a cd-image with a vray which can only render some scenes on the Cd - take some beautiful scenes, convert them to vrscenes and let future users see how fast and uncomplicated distributed rendering works. ..would be a cool Annual promo CD for vray artists too.
