    Any ideas for creating the look of being submerged in a liquid? I've been relying on vrayfog for too much and just wonder if anyone else has thoughts on the matter.

    How about a z-depth pass(maybe with some noise and color correction applied) overlayed on your render.

        Also a softer and brighter light distribution. Water scatters the light alot compared to air..
