  • Gradual Sandblasting to clear on one pane of glass

Im trying to create a material that is opaque at hte bottom and gradually becomes transparent at the top. Ive made a glass material and using the blend material with a mask of a gradient jpg black to white. Its giving me the effect however the part that hsould be white (as it is a white marterial) being blended with the glass where it is white it is showing black.. anyone have any suggestions?

    IKind Regards

Is the diffuse black? maybe you need white or a mix between white and a texture that looks like sand blasted glass.. Maybe some vray fog on the inside to break that clearness up too, with a gradient in the density.

A gradient in the refract roughness should do the trick for sandblasted glass.
