  • 32Bit-images in Photoshop CS4

    Hey there,
since recently, I use the 32-Bit exr quite often, because it's a really great way to adjust lighting, colors etc. later in Photoshop. I also use the renderID-Layer to select objects for adjusting. Now the problem is that in Photoshop you can not select certain colors with f.e. the magic brush or select a color range. Do you have any other ideas to not switch to 16 Bit to select colors?

Oh, any btw, do you know any good tutorial about DOF?

Thanks A LOT, this is an awesome forum!

This doesn't help you at all in making selections, but Photolooks by Magic Bullet is very very handy for 32 bit in PS. It gives you access to all sorts of nice tools that aren't otherwise available in PS for making adjustments to 32 bit images.

leave the render id alone, use the multi matte element instead. it'll give you perfect, proper mattes that you can easily extract from the rgb channels.
