  • How to get velocity pass and Toxic/Composite working nicely?

I have this example EXR file:

    400KB

Is it possible to get nice motion blur in composite/toxic, if so how do I do it?

    All I get is this:

An ugly halo even though it seems to be reading the pass properly

I can post the Composite file if anyone wants to see how I'm "doing it wrong".
    Hope somebody can help. Cheers.

hm..what are you doing ? a rotation of your sphere ?
is so, without any mapping on it, it won't be impossible to see what is happening...

The sphere is moving from the left of the screen to the right in about 30 frames. So quite fast and no rotation.

There's a video on YouTube that shows how to do this. I believe it's something to do with the blur radius From you screenshoot it seems like Composite is reading everything fine, you can see the direction vectors.

It's actually a Maya scene but there are more 3DS Max users on this site, besides you guys have Toxic/Composite now too.
