Yes, you can. There's a .dlr file out there that allows it to run in max 2011. Not sure where I saw it. Do a google search. Or you can just wait until the max 2011 version is officially released, but there are plenty of people already using sp1a with 2011..

Actually you can use RT Sp1a just fine with 2011. You only have to use V-Ray SP4a instead of SP5.

It can be used with SP5. I've seen it done. Just requires that updated .dlr file dropped into the vrayplugins folder under Max 2011 > plugins. But unless you have some burning need to use SP5 with 2011, then yeah, SP4a or waiting is the easiest alternative.
