  • Any tips for treating glossy reflections in animations?

The obvious reason is to bring the render times down for the interiors. The exterior animation frames are already taking VERY long.....my guess is because of the autograss (first time using it in an animation) and all the trees. Though I did forget to turn off some unecessary reflections that are fine for the stills but not worth it in the animation. However before tackling the interiors, which will be in a day or two, I figured I should quickly look into ways of getting the render times down. so....any special settings for those glossy reflections? The more I use vray the less I seem to really know!!!

Turn off any glossy's that you feel will not make a notice....as you did for the exterior

Tweak the glossys so that they are not as low a value as in your stills......the lower your glossy values the longer the render time & the higher the subdivisions you need
EG- if you have a glossy at 0.85 then turn it back slightly to 0.88 or even 0.9

And NEVER use interpolation with animations---it will cause flickering
    Cheers
