Guys...forgive my lack of knowledge plz...but how do i extract something g-buffer channels for use in combustion? i mean how does it work...when I hit render on vray and having selected for example Z-Buffer..i was hoping that it would render like, 2 images...one normal render and another only with depth info (i.e. grayscale image...)...plz help me!
i wanna use the z-buffer in combustion for certain effects.

    1. Check of the G-buffer channels you need
    2. Save the output as RPF (again check what you need)
    3. Import the RPF sequence into compustion

You can most probably extract any channel you wish from inside combustion, i use aftereffects and you can almost do it properly there, but i would think combustion has the ability to juggle around any rpf file.

Max itself cant save the Z-buffer to a 8 or 16 bit greyscale file, but i think there are some scripts around that might do it.
