  • fade horizon

I'm working on an outdoor scene. I can see the horizon off in the distance. Anyway to blend that? DOF?

I would use the z-depth render element and in post either use lens blur (DOF) or create a layer mask with the depth map - this enables you to create that "haze"-look.

You can also create a gradient skydome in a seperate scene, merge your cameras in and slip that under the alpha.

You can also use a vray fade sphere on the environment settings.

1 create a sphere apparatus gizmo of the size where you want your horizon starts to fade
2 go to environement, select vray fade sphere and then pick your sphere gizmo.
3 with the faloff you can also decide how sharp your fading will appears.

          hope this helps
