MAX Frame Buffer

Hi-

I have been having good success leaving my gamma set to 1 across the board and picking the sRGB in the VRay Frame Buffer. I am using 2 plug-ins that don't use the VFB so I am using MAX's. If I leave everything at 1 how do I apply the gamma curve like the VFB does? If I change the gamma in VRay to 2 I am not gettig the same thing nor do I when I change MAX's gamma to 2 and leave VRay at 1. Should I just do it in post?
