  • Saving render elements separately

    Hi all
I would like to know how to save render elements separately without using the memory frame buffer. The reason I'm asking is because I'm using .vrimg files to avoid max crashing when rendering big files. I have tried using vrimg2exr but for some reason I can't get it to work.
I have tried entering the folder destination under the render elements tab but then when I go and look for the file it is not there.
    Hope you can help

you dont need to tell the elements where to save. When you set vray to save to a vrimg file, all the elements are saved inside this file. You need to extract each element seperately from this file then by using the vrimg2exr tool.
    Kind Regards,

in "split render channels" under the vray fb tab you can check "save separate render channels".

I want to save each render element in a different folder, is that possible with "save separate render channels" active? because when I use this option all the channel sequences are saved in the same folder.

You may need a pass manager for that level of control.
