  • GI-solution per object

Is it possible to adjust the GI-solution of a special object?
(I render an office and thereĀ“s a little high-res-tree with many leafs...)

not in current version of vray but in 2.0 imo

you could workaround - set all objects properties to NOT receive GI but the obj you like
renderIRR to file in low settings
reverse GI obj prperties and boost GI settings
"incremantal add to current map" your GI
reset GI obj. properties and render GI "from file"

You can also use the "Use irradiance map" option in the VRayMtl material to turn it off and use brute force GI for this material - might be useful for small but detailed objects.

Using an IRmap for primary and a LC for secondary bounces, how can I control the number of bounces and subdivs for brute force when turning off "use irradiance map"?

        regards,
