  • VrayNormalMap WorkFlow?

    I know how to make a normal map with 3dsmax, the problem is how to use them with Gi? do I allways need to have a standard light to get the effect?, where I am suppose to put the vraynormalmap? in the bump or the displace? I can´t seem to find info either in the forum or the online manual....if anybody has some info i´ll appreciated....thanks

      I'm not quite sure what you ask: how to make normal maps, or how to use them?

          You need some change in the environment color/intensity for the normal or bump map to be visible in GI. If you just have a uniform color, then the bump will not be visible, since technically the lighting is the same everywhere.
