I have installed a GTX 470 on the following spec machine.
I have been made an offer of a 480 for a reasonable price for another machine with the same spec.
Dell Precision 690 ( about 3 years old now)
XP 64bit
4GB Ram
I have updated the drivers to the newest ones off the Nvidea website as the ones that shippped with it on the CD are way out of date.
I had a few blue screens recently.
So I was told that the motherboard may be too old for the card?
Is this a fact, I did not think this was a factor in the equation at all.
Anything else that may be wronge that you guys know about.
This is the only place I know were people have a lot of Hands on experience with the Cards.
Thank you
Phil
