As is the way of Hon Solo , the elusive octa-loofah has been imprissoned for eternity. Never to dry up as all loofahs dream to do one day. Somewhere, in a gallaxy far far away, there is a brave soul who will choose to release the octa-loofah from it's captors eternal gaze....

        Excellent

This is exactly why I bought a copy of VRay, not only is it a great program but a great group of people using it

I arranged a digital camera and will have a photo of the real thing up by the weekend. (sad this loofah has seen its end because I attacked the block of soap with my laser sabre and sliced it in half)

Thanks for the material settings flipside.

            The promised photo

This is what the soap looks like with the loofah inside.

Anyone know of a good fractal modeler? That's going to be a tough one

                    Oops

Well that came as a nasty surprise. Oh well so much for free. I will look around for a place with a more liberal approach to free.

Anyway the image as pointed to by J_Bug certainly looks like a set in the right direction, but without afterburn not realy an option for me.

                    Thank for the help.

you mean image hosting? Psy has kindly offered his ftp http://www.chaoticdimension.com/foru...071&highlight= and also www.smartgroups.com allowed remote linking last time I checked.

Blur has a free plugin that creates L-Systems. You could probably play with it to get almost the exact effect you want.
