  • GI settings with emissive atmospherics

I am doing some test with FumeFX casting light using vray GI. I was just wondering what the best settings would be to get flicker free renders as quick as possible. Cheers!

Anyway, wouldn't the emission of GI from Phoeninx and FumeFX be the same thing and need the same type of render setups?

Yes, more or less, although Phoenix can also add direct lights to simulate illumination from the fire without GI. Anyways, using irradiance maps for animation might be the easiest approach in this case.

          Best regards,

Ok, thanks Vlado. Ill give it a try. I have been trying Brute force primary and light cache secondary. Im also trying FumeFX and Final Render 3.5 which seems very quick with its GI calculations. The Phoenix direct light solution might give the same speed / quality though.
