  • Pre-calculate the pre-pass of the VrayFastSSS2

    Hi there,

I'm doing a little animation with fastsss2. I have pre-calculated the IR and LC but when i'm doing the render, I have the pre-pass of the FastSSS2 that calculate before the final rendering.

Is there a may to store that information like the Ir and the LC? And is there a way to use"use camera path" ? That would be extremely useful and win a lot of time.

    Thanks

It has been requested before and we'll do it, but for now it will have to be re-calculated.

      Best regards,

Is this possible now, with the newest vray?

Yes, it has been implemented since a long time. The VRayFastSSS2 material allows you to save and load the illumination map from disk.

            Hi Vlado!

I see options for saving and loading a single frame, but nothing for sss frame blending or "use camera path" as in the original question by 3LP?

I guess "use camera path" would be tricky as SSS is more view dependent than in example GI?

            Thanks in advance.

            Edit:
I see that the prepass phase looks a lot different when rendering from a still camera than from an animated one. I guess some kind of frame blending takes place here? We just don't have any control over it?

Interpolation Frames and Use Camera Path features are not available in VrayFastSSSMtl.
