  • RenderPassManager

Check Out www.rpmanager.com a rendermanger that looks ultimate and actually supports VRAY! Vlado and Peter, it seems that the developer is only using Vray Free to develop the manager, I think it would be in everyones interest if you guys supply him with a proper version and help with general info if he needs it. Man it looks as sweet as anything ive ever seen for max yet

I'm sure they are using the advanced version since it's Grant Adam who made the rpmanager and he works for Iloura who made a few commercials using vray AFAIK.

I havn't had time to test rpmanager myself but I sure am looking forward to it. It's just a shame that Vray doesn't have any render elements.

Please Vlado... Render Elements and FULL g-buffer support.. Please...

actually, it supports any renderer, or queuing system (deadline, backburner, smedge, etc), however, it was developed for scanline initially... pretty cool plugin to, that's for sure... it's all we use here for layers now.

Anyone had any luck with this on VRay 1.45 beta?

For some reason, I thought the beta had some form of render elements or channels, since it allows you to save each pass seperately. But, alas, it does not seem to work for me since each targa file comes out completely black.

Anyone know if PSD-Manager works with VRay?

Yes, it does. All the G-Buffer stuff should work. But you will not be able to output vRay render elements because VRay uses a proprietary system (psd-manager supports the native 3ds max render elements system that mental ray and the 3ds max scanliner use).

with render pass manager its strange when we tried it, i think it has build in some elements of each of the renderers it supports. Because we are using vray 1.457 but the vray that was in the rpm was older version ...
