Hi,
I am in a situation where I tried to render a huge image. 3ds max crashed during rendering, but because I had autosave on in Irradiance and Light cache maps were saved.
3ds max crashed because of not enough memory, so I have to make some changes for the next rendering of the scene. My question is can I make ANY changes to scene or its settings and still use those saved irradiance and light cache maps or do I have to calculate them again and waste precious time?
So can I use those saved maps with these following changes or any of them:
- Changing render size
- Changing color mapping dark and light multiplyers
- Changing large texture resolution to smaller in Photoshop
- Reloading that texture in material library just to make sure it´s not corrupted
- Changing V-ray bucket size
- Turning on Bitmap Pager option in 3ds max
