What about Dispersion, Dim distance or Directional Light Options?

And I have a question about Dispersion. I made a simple scene with caustics, render ok, turn on dispersion and its SOOOO noisy, that effect cannot be seen, all colours everywhere. In another scene its not so noisy, but still. How to correct this, refract subdivision seems no effect on this.

Which part is noisy? The photon-mapped caustics are not affected by the refraction subdivs, but by the caustics subdivs for the lights, and the caustics photon map parameters.

I try to go high with caustics subdivs, hope not render too long.
But i thought the Dispersion effect will be seen even without caustics, just in refraction. I cant see it, but I think real world produced this effect there.

Go high with caustics subdivision didnt help.
There is a few boxes and the noise is crazy.

You will need to adjust the caustics parameters - same as for the regular caustics; try increasing the max. number of photons and/or the search distance; I usually like to set the max. number of photons to 0.0 and then play with the search distance, but you may like to use other settings.

But caustics without dispersion is quite good. When dispersion is on, its really slow down and result is this. When I go even high, computing time will be really bad I think.
Do you have some test scene to share, like from the siggraph so we can test it?
