Opacity map with Vray material?

I have a very nice metal material (which is vray material),
I would like to open some holes in the metal, so I was thinking to apply a mask or opacity map to the actual vray material.
But I have no idea if this is possible, if yes how...

out ur opacity map in the refraction slot, and dont forget to check the 'affect shadow'
