Hi,
I'm using Shag:Hair to put some fur on the rabbit that comes with Max, in the scenes>character>Complete folder. Rabbit.max I think it's called. A very cute cartoonish character with some animation, a good little scene.
Only problem is he doesn't have any fur.
Well I've been meaning to get a grips on Shag so I thought what a great test it would be to give this guy some fur. So I'm doing pretty good getting the hairs to do what I want. Now I'm trying to use the hair shader but I just can't figure it out, sometimes it looks good other times it's completely horrible. So I was wondering maybe I should use a Vray mtl.
I haven't had time to test anything yet so I'm not sure about settings. I would think it should give some great results especially considering the complex sss properties of hair.
I'll see what I can get but maybe someone else would have some better ideas on what kind of settings would look good.
