Which 3DMax?

Which version of 3D max is recommended for Vray? I only need max to run VRay so anything is fine with me...

Just use whatever you like most, as far as I know Vray works with Max 3.1, 4 and 5 and Viz 3, 4.

I'll think I'll go for 5 then. It's the easiest to get legally these days.

Due to Discreet's anal-retentive licencing policy (no licence exchanging), ver-5 is the only version you can get legally

Don't even get me started on their upgrade pricing structure if you decide to skip a version or two
