  • Light select

I must say that I am loving the light select render element.
It is amazing how much control in post you get.

It makes it very easy to turn a day shot in to night (see attachment)

One thing you need to be careful of is the cutoff threshold on vraylights. The default .001 leaves a hard edge. Turning the value to 0 fixes that.

Hmmm , how do you set up your scene ? I made a basic scene, 3 plane vray lights, add lightselect in renderelement, hit render, and i get a complete black lightselect layer...

And how do you set up your post ?

edit: it only works without using 'store with irradiancemap' ????

Did you add the lights to the light select?

Argh...what a pitty, it only works without using 'store with irradiancemap'
Even if the render looks much nicer, it it so much slower to render if you untick the 'store with irradiancemap' in the vlaylight

OK, managed to get it working.
Now just in post, if you want to "play" with the different lights, i just "add" it over which layers ?
              thanks !
