  • Vraycam from view

Hi guys, is there a way to change the "create camera from view" command to create vrayphysicalcam instead?

It's a little boring to manually align it to the standard one every time

    Thanks a lot.

    Cheers,
    Thomas

Just create your Vray Cam anywhere in the scene, keep it selected and "Ctr+C"!

You can have a look to the Leelee vray's tools, there's a vraycam converter from view or from standard cam

I scripted my own converter a while ago but I don't have a "fix" for the Fov difference between 3dsmax and vray cams. Can someone from Chaosgroup tell me more about how to exactly mathematically match a standard 3dsmax cam? This would also be very helpful for exporting cameras to e.g. Nuke or Fusion...

It will be nice to have another shortcut to simply create a vraycam from view, just replace standard cam with vray one...i'm not a developper so i don't know if it will be easy or not eheh

            Thanks all

I use LeLe's script and added it to the right click menu, works great.
