  • Vray light exclude, URGENT, please help

I have noticed that the Vray light exclude function does not work when you have the option, save with irradinace map turned on. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? Or is this a limitation for now. I'm in sort of a rush on a project so any urgent help would be appreciated.

before i posted this message, i made a simple scene with a box for the ground, a sphere and a wall(box) in front of the sphere, placed 1 vray light (planar) in front of the wall and excluded the wall from the light. with the saved with irradiance map option turned ON, it is still bright, technically it should only get very little light (bounced from the floor) but it gets pretty bright. when the saved imap option is OFF, everything works fine (the wall is dark) but i need this to work with save with irradiance map option turned on.

There is a default lights check box in the global exclude section of render params. This could be it.

i placed one omni in the scene and turned it off to eliminate any background lights. please make sure that the light is set to save with irradiance map since it works when this is not checked, only thing is i need it checked.

j.galang: this is a bug in the VRay light; I'll try to get it fixed for the next build.

                  Best regards,
                  Vlado

should change V-Ray from a GI to a JedI render engine.
