  • Vray 2.0 and Vue 9

Just a heads-up... E-on software have finally released the update that makes it possible to render Vue scenes with Vray 2.0

Currently only available if you have access to EEF updates though:

hmmm, heard that several times before - vue xstream working - and bought expensive updates and investing plenty of time. we stopped believing the idea of vue inside max would work since 7.4
i would love to hear its working now. i still remember users begging for the mosque demo scene - looked great - but there never were any working demo scenes showing a proof of concept and how to set up a scene with vue and a renderer (mental, vray or whatever...).

Hi Matthias, I can confirm that it is indeed working now... Quite a lot has happened since the horrors of the 7.4 days

I cant seem to get Vue 9 xtreme to work in 3dsmax 2011. It just renders black. There is a light and a cam and a basic atmosphere preset and it doesnt do a thing.

They tell you what to do in Maya but the information should be the same for 3Ds Max.

It will render black if you do not use build 9005575 or later + the special Vray 2.0 plugin installer

I have the above build and plugin and it just renders white now. It is actually rendering (which it wasnt doing before), but just white.

If I try the scanline renderer it just renders black as the vray render did before.

If I open 3dsmax, create a Vue terrain from there and hit render - it renders just fine... No idea why you are getting white renders, sorry..
