  • Forest pack Crashing with Vray2.0

If I hit the materials tap, it gives me a message Forest pack not compatable and freezes the programe and i have to force quit.

Are there any other plugins that will cause Vray 2.0 to crash, as i am having an issue with Max 2011 crashing out halfway throught splash screen set up.
The last thing it is flicking through is the plugins folder.

    Anybody else found this.

I presume i just go in and delete the plugin?

    Thank you

    phil

Are you using the latest version of Forest Pack (3.4)? Only that version supports Vray 2.0...

      No I am not.
I will try it, but do you have any idea why max would crash out at the start up screen.
If I start up using a different profile it works fine, so there is something in there that is crashing it.
      Thank you again.

It crashes because the Material Editor tries to open Forest Material, which is part of Forest Pack. You must upgrade to Forest 3.4, that supports VRay 2.0.

Half way through a scene? I thought you said it crashed at the startup screen?

Take a deep breathe, install the latest Forest 3.4 and all will be fine.

Crashing at the start is another problem.
There is somethingin there crashing it.
              But thanks for the concern.

I will install the new one.
I do appreciate the free version.

              Thank you .
