  • Rendering for TV

    Hi

I am re-rendering an animation using VRay which is to be displayed on TV - Pal Europe. The animation itself looks excellent on the computer but when transfreed to DVD and played back on a plasma - it develops strange ripple like lines across the animation.

Has anyone sucessfully gone through this process and maintained a solid picture and colours?

Is it possibly the interlaced fields check box in max?

    Thanks

alot of the work ive done is with progressive frame machines so im lucky not to have to use evil interlacing anymore. however your problem most likely comes from that. turn it on, im not sure what your field order would be, it depends on your hardware

      Cheers,

Just in case it is the wrong field order and you havent encountered the problem before, you dont have to render the whole thing over again, just import your footage into your edit program (like after effects) and move it exactly 1 pixel down or up and the fields are reversed.
