  • Vray Dome light - render pass

    Hi there,

Im using render passes to render out: GI, Direct light, Spec, Reflection, but I cant seem to find a pass that includes the Vraydomelight. It is not invisible and shows up OK on the full RGB render. Any ideas ?

dome light is a direct light, so it will be in that pass. In vray 2, there is vrayLightSelect which allows you to explicitly put lights on a render element if you had to have that kind of control.

did you tick the "use irradiance map" in the domelight ? then i think it will not appear in the vraylightselect (edit: which is in my opinion a pitty !!)

having this same issue.. i've had it work before, but i can't spot anything different in this case. note: the reflection and GI passes both show the dome contribution, but the lightSelect pass does not show any information unless i crank the multiplier in the element to 100 (in which case i just see a very grainy representation of the dome light)

            tried re-adding the element--no change.
