Yes the sphere is reflecting in the tabletop. The tabletop reflects the black environment (=no reflection) and it reflects all objects placed on the tabletop.

isnĀ“t the problem that the objects is to much lit from the camview? if you look at the other objects in the scene they are a lot darker towards the camera than the hdri-lit geometry

It's good to see the search function being used rather than the same questions over and over

            now I did it!
Is it possible for the reflection to enter in its own Alpha channel?

not directly, or at least, not currently.. you can use different blending modes when you do your composite though.. Screen/Overlay/Multiply work wonders..

the shadow would have to be seperate from the reflection pass... but it should be anyway i would think.. to allow for color corrections

maybe this should be in a totally new post. ive figured out a bunch of stuff. shadow pass is easy, diffuse pass also easy. GI pass also easy. now the hard part is with glass. ive has an animation i wanted to do in layers with a glass bottle. getting the glass to have reflections on inner and outer surfaces was tough. basically if anyone has done a glass bottle in passes let me know cuz reflection and refraction passes on a bottle confuse me. plus there was a characters hand holding the bottle
