any way to get reflection on matte object in the reflection Render Element?

Rendering with a reflective material on a matte object I can see the reflections and GI on the matte object in the beauty pass but no reflections turn up in the reflection RE and no GI turns up either.
Is there any way to get the relfections/GI to turn up in the REs on matte objects?

I had a similar problem and created an additive vrayBlend material with the reflection as a coat and the matte material as base. That way the reflections actually disappeared from the beauty pass, but showed up in elements. Only problem was that DMC sampler didn´t see the reflection, so I had to use high reflection subdivs to counter the undersampling. This trick, and the reflection occlusion as a vrayextratex RE worked great. I could even get the shadows from a single render
