    Dear All

I know this message will have been posted several times before, but I'm having a little trouble creating architectural glass and varying its properties.I am using a vraymtrl with falloff in the reflection and refraction slots but i seem to be getting unusual results with the refraction, ie when looking through a windo at distance the internal elements appear distorted.

My question is, what are the parameters i need to change to vary the glass so it can appear either thick, opaque and highly reflective and then thin, translucent and slightly relective.

Should I be using refraction, how do you control the tint and can anyone explain how the falloff settings work ie, front:side settings, what is fresnel, shoule the IOR be 1.55 etc etc

    Many thanks in advance

Is it possible to download materials or can anyone attach glass materials so i may begin to understand the parameters.

i just set my architectural glass to a standart vray mat black diffuse and pure white refraction. reflection just falloff map. control with the colors of the falloff map.
it always depends on the surrounding.. or if its a bright sunny day ect..

if you like i can send you my glas by email

    regards
