Max crashes when ...I try to run video post ..
Lens effect highlight,,,,,
I need something to look like...
rays of light...off highlight...
Ive used the Trapcode one...but It doesn't work the way I want it ...

This is just a wild shot in the dark, but, it may have something to do with G-buffer output settings.

I'm pretty sure that Lens Effects, being a post processing effect, relies on extra information that is generated at render time. I speculate that default Scanline Renderer generates this information automatically, and that Max is crashing with Vray because it doesn't get what is expecting, so it doesn't know how to handle such situation.

Try turning on some G-buffer outputs and see if it works. My first guess would be that Material ID channel is needed.
