static ray accelerator - crashing

Hi

I have a problem with my vray secene. I have a complex architectural scene and often when I render, during the calculations for the static ray accelerator I find the max will just completely close down.

I have a dual 1.4 with 2.5G of ram, i guess it may be a memory problem? Any advice how i may be able to optimize of set preferences to avoid this problem?

ive rendered huge stadiums with machines with only 512ram and had no problems with crashings...unless you thin you have bad ram, i wouldnt think its a ram shortage.

what OS/version of max/version of vRay?

Sometimes increasing you virtual memory (pagefile) will help.
