  • need help!

I have to render an animation. The szene include a spot light which has an avi as Projector map. I gave the light a volume light effect and try to render some frames. But the rendertime increases very much! It seems that the problem is the transparent volume fog.

Does anyone know the result of that problem

    Thanks

The volume effects in max dont work well with V-Ray, try searching for a free plugin I think called ScatterVL. That one is suposed to work good for volume effects with V-Ray.

Actually standard Volume light works, and also it is bad, as well as Scatter VL. For the information: that has earned standard Volume light only it is necessary to choose one of variants Filter Shadow (low, med., high), instead of "use light smp range" (by default). But it all the same will not help, since normal Volume light all the same will be only at use "Shadow map". At use of any other shadows shadows in Volumetric light at once vanish. It is typical both for standard VL, and for Scatter VL.
