  • when to recalculate irradiance maP??

just courious and a bit confused on when to recalculate the irrad. map and when there is no need to do it:

I know I have to recalc. when I change any GI setting and/or materials.....but what about when I have regular max lights that just change multiplier intensity.....?

I know that is the case w/ vray lights that are stored w/ the solution, but I don't know if regual max lights are also stored.....

    thanks in advance for clarifying!

    Paul.

If you want a correct solution, you need to recalculate the irradiance map whenever anything changes to your lighting, materials, objects, etc

If you change a multiplier, the bounced light from that light will also be stronger, so your solution changes.
