environment mapping

i got severe problems to map environment mappings correctly!
i got a bunch of downloaded hdri pictures downloaded, but i am not able to map them in a way they make up a complete seamless environment.
the ones that look best as environment are the "warped" ones.
i can map them with shrink map evironment, but they are always rotated about 90 degrees to the side. i rotated them within HDRShop but it doesn`t help. i tried it so many times but there is no senseful result.
please, someone tell me some tricks about it........

Try using the VRayHDR map instead, and select the proper mapping type there. From your description of the HDRI as warped, it sounds like you need to use the angular type.
