  • Dots again...

    Sorry to bother you uys just when I got problems, but here we go:
    In this Scene everything worked alright, just the new Character creates red Dots (now at his head) like every 5th frame.

    Checked everything I had to fight with before:
    -No Max raytrace materials/maps in the Scene
    -applied cropping to every texture (thanks for that script)
    -no overlaying double faces
    -doesn´t matter which material he has Standard, VRay, Mutisubobject
    -remerged him

    You might want to check the log for warnings to isolate the problem object. In the case of splotches, often the offending object is not the object that receives the splotches.

      Looks like its the pavement that makes the blotch....check out the blotch pattern (Zik Zak just like the pavement)

        Thanks for your suggestions, but in this case no other object is causing the splotches. When i render him just by himself nothing changes.
        Differnet Materials don´t do any difference as well.

        By now I found out, that when i turn off the UVW Map modifier (XYZ to UVW), the ugly spotch disappears. In this situation I can live with that, but it´s really strange. I´m gonna render the whole sequence again now and hope it´ll work.

        But how could the UVW Mapping cause this spot, even when I apply a material with no maps?
