Two weeks ago i rendered our first interior animation with vray and for that reason i wrote a 10lines script to generate a quasi static GI from imaps.
The idea was to use spherical projections to get most imap informations from one camera. ..with few cameras(helper object / node) you have nearly all needed imap informations.
you can DL the script here:
http://www.cgtechniques.com/goodies/vray_imapbuilder
anyway ..this script mutated!!!!
It's now a real monster script which outputs html files, images and connect the panoramas with few mouseclicks.
The workflow is similar to the imapbuilder but now you can add targets to each hotspot and give hotspots names and different colors.
here two samples: Viz4-sample Vray-sample
The code itself checks if imapviewer.exe is present and let you control the imap file later.
I think this script will put a smile on your face when you have rendered your first panotour.
the script will be dropped this week... i want to wait until i have optimized the code for insight.
