  • Matte & transparent object problem

I'm currently working with plants, and i noticed a weird thing:

when i render a transparent object with matte objects behind, they appear throught the transparent object !
I found nobody having this problem in the forum...

Is there a way to avoid this ? (there is a way, disabling the visible reflect/refract on matte objects properties - but it kills those objects GI)
I need this feature so that i can render plants alone with my scene GI and with a clean alpha mask.

I know i can use VrayDispplacementMod with a small amount and water level, but for some reason i can't use this.

I know too that i can use Max standard material, but leaves GI calculation are less realistic with them.

This is a feature i add on the wishlist

I've had the same problem. As I old vlado here would be two possible workarounds implementable in vray. 1, making transparent objects represent the background instead of the matte itself or implement a new clip mapping so that vray assumes the tree's opacity as a clip map, just an alpha chnnel no colors, no IOR, just plain cutouts.

My fingers are crossed for the second option!
