  • UVWs and bake3d problems

    hello everyone
    i ve been testing the bake3d function of vray and i run into a very nasty problem that i cant work around it
    i have looked at all the relevant bake3d posts and i havent seen it mentioned anywhere. if i make a box and apply a tilable material and a uvw map modifier and change the uvw tiling values. when i try to bake the box the resulted map looks like it resets the uvw tiling to 1.
    i have tried with different files and its always the same. it seems that the generate tex coord resets teh uvw maps i apply previously
    i would appreciate any comments as i m seriously stuck and frustrated

    PS. ca n you also tell me if baking is affected at all by the viewport or cameras selected?

    Did you set Bake3D to generate mapping to a different channel than your original UV mapping?

      hello again
      i put a different channel map on gen tex coord and on the lightmap parameters put the same map channel
      it renders fine but its applied wrongly on the object
      i m on a dead end please help!!
