  • Speeding up rendering

I'm just really getting into VRay and I'm finding that my rendering times can be terrible. I was wondering if irradiance mapping can be played with to speed it up. I was thinking that I could calculate the map at a smaller size rendering then increase the rendering size and reuse the map. Is this possible and does anyone have some advice on this front?

    Cheers

    Hi!
I've been having a lot of luck rendering my IMAP at 1/2 (even 1/4 sometimes) resolution, antialiasing set to FIXED.........then use the IMAP when you do 100% res and you can set AA to ADAPTIVE SUB.

    hope this helps!
