I love Vray but...

I love vray: it's fast and work well, but...
too many time I have to debug something that doesn't work as it should, so I think that maybe if I spend less render time, I spend much much more MY time to understand what is wrong somewhere, somehow...

I used to say the exact same thing about finalRender, way back when. Maybe fR has changed since then, but you had to tweak your setting everytime you added an object to the scene or changed camera angles. Vray saved me a tone of user time, as well as a tone of render time.

I agree: as old fR user I can't compare the two software...
But I think that stability and knowledge are much more important as a renderer grow, expecially for those who use it for production.
Now we use a very good renderer, but in this incarnation it can't still compair with Mental Ray or Renderman for stability (it's also much less expensive...).
My opinion is this: Vray is actually he fastest renderer on the market. Now it should become (the) more stable.

You are right Goncalo (sorry, I dont' have the spanish 'c' on my keyboard), but if you wouldn't be able to give your product at your client in time you couldn't tell him 'sorry, but my software is still in beta'...
