    Hy to all,
    in first sorry for my english, but i try to explane my request
    Probably, i must make a little brochure for 3-4 models of bathrooms (for a friend) in photorealistic rendering. I use the great vray renderer!
    I will make a standard scenario for all the 4 models, and when the illumination is ok i change the bathrooms and the materials (positioning of the object and so....) but the light solution (the optimally light solution remain the same, like a photographic studio).
    i have tryied with irradiance map + photon map but my result is always a flat render....
    The measures of room are not important, but i cannot make a photorealistic light solution. any idea?



    How can i create a room with walls, ceiling, windows that correctly distributed the light into the scene?
    Please help me!

    you got windows in this scene ?
    i would just use Irradiance map because photon mapping can be a bit tricky to start with...
    you should be able to get enough light in the scene with vray light as a skylight in the windows.
    use HSV colour mapping and have your skylight set to around 3-6 see how you go .....

      Ok....thanks natty.....i tryed more and more solution, but my principal problem is that i cannot distribute light homogenuos in the scene, when i create a hole in the wall (like a window) and here i place my vraylight, in the render i see this part to bright, and other parts to dark, not homogeneus....sorry for bad explanation

        If your renderings are looking flat its probably because there is little else in the room for them to relfect. Try putting a HDR map in the Reflection/Refraction slot of the VRay environment and check override Max's.

        I'm assuming the bathroom furniture is white ceramic, chrome etc.

            well.......

            there is no other go.... other than keep on tweaking and trying out ....finally it will happen....btw there was this great bathroom render some time back ....try that with the settings given and read everything in these forums

              neok1 I would extend natty's answer with;
              try setper object or per surface (vrmtlwraper) the amount of gi it gets or emits. But I think this is rare case when needed. But At least you have the option if all fails. Color mapping and the good light into the bathroom should solve your problem...

                Thank losbellos, but this is not my case, the render of my previous bathroom is ok (not the background photo but...nothing is perfect ) this render is flat, my objective is a pure and super clean GI like the Goncalo photon map test...this is the result that i will say in my render
