well, multiframe incremental mode means also,
that if you move box on a ground you will see a line behind it over time.

I used such a kind of setting 1 year ago, when doing a add. for a company. I always tried to avoid moving the camera behind the objects that move.

A nother good thing is to use an Vray Area light that gives some direct light on your moving objects. Even if is week it helps making a good image.

I'm registed believe me! Just miss that logo.

You are right about direct lighting. It alwaes help. But if your character is inside interior these settings halps too to avoid bugs on the walls and the characters. Try to observe ALL these settings(EACH POINT)!!! Only IF you OBSERVE EACH SETTING you will get Best Result/Time
And I must say more - The settings remove that black line

Multiframe Incremental will not work for moving objects.

I tested this in 98 scenes. It works good. I can give you an animation of characters with it. Everythings is OK now.
If you have any questions ask me. I think even Vlado does not know the way to set up character animation solution. But this works

                      ok, i tried it.
rendertime is above 3 hours per frame.
the bucket looks like its only 1 pixel in size and it takes VERY long to go through the frame.
                      i rechecked every setting twice.
there is a man sitting on a seat in a plane in my scene,
                      nothing special.
                      no secondary bounces on.
                      Reflect, repent and reboot.
                      Order shall return.

I think he meant to only have one bucket per frame not 5 million I tested this recently(just the render region part) it shaved 40 secs off a ten minute render compared to 128 x 128 render region. It saves on the time used to make each region fit together.

RErender: it also makes ram usage skyrocket, so it won't work well on all scenes.

Alkonst, try the following test with your settings:

Create a plane. Create a sphere. Animate the sphere moving across the plane from left to right. As predicted, the sphere will leave a black GI shadow trail across the plane.

I've followed your steps EXACTLY (with the exception of the 1x1 bucket size) so unless I'm missing something, this method will not work.
